Sony Corporation has announced a new cheaper Playstation 3, and a price cut to it's existing 80 gigabyte Playstation 3. Effective immediately, the 80 gigabyte Playstation wil now cost $499. The new Playstation 3 with 40 gigabyte harddrive will go on sale next month for $399.
Even after a price cut and a new cheaper version, Playstation 3 is still more expensive than Nintendi Wii($250) and Microsoft XBox 360($350)
