Android tablet market were not as it was before. Back in 2015, almost every phone maker release their own Android tablet to fill market requirement. Samsung is one of them.
Now in 2019, while most Android phone maker is resting from producing tablet, Samsung is still keen to serve this shrinking market.
Released in June 2019, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) was set to be an entry level tablet.
While smartphone screen size is increasing over time, releasing a 7 inch tablet in 2019 is consider irrelevant.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) comes with 8 inch 4:3 TFT screen. Still pack with the old 800 x 1280 resolution.
For this model, Samsung tuck in an entry level processor to it's entry level tablet. The quad-core Snapdragon 429 with Adreno 504 which is manufactured under 12nm process. It comes with 32GB 2GB memory configuration. For non high graphic intense application, it should be n problem with this tablet.
Applications and casual games like Microsoft Office mobile, Temple Run, Subway Surfer, Chrome and YouTube should run smoothly without problem.
You can try Asphalt Legend but be prepare for the disappointment.
let's move to connectivity. This model released in two version. One with Wifi only and the other with LTE. Usb port is still the good old 2.0 which should support USB OTG. There's a 3.5mm audio jack at the bottom and a pair of down firing stereo speaker.
Battery is 5100mAH. Should take few hours to charge since the charger is only 5v. Overnight charging is recommended. But with 5100mAH battery, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.0 (2019) should easily reach 2 day of usage after a full charging.
Camera
Samsung throws in an 8MP autofocus rear camera with no LED flash. Means no shooting in the dark. The front or selfie camera is 2MP fixed focus.
