Image of Mars taken from Phoenix spacecraft

NASA has released the image of Mars taken from Phoenix spacecraft. This black and white self-portrait shows the leg of Phoenix, nestled in the Martian soil.


On Sunday, May 25, 2008, Phoenix NASA spacecraft landed in the northern polar region of Mars , starting three months examining a site chosen for the probability of having frozen water within reach The lander's robotic arm.
