How to increase your internet speed

Note that this tips apply to Windows XP SP2 or later.

1. Start Group Policy Object Editor
Windows XP: go to Start -> run. type gpedit.msc and press enter.
Windows Vista: Start, type gpedit.msc in the search bar and press enter.

2. Locate QoS Packet Scheduler
Under Local Computer Policy, expand Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network.

3. Change Limit reservable bandwidth value
Locate QoS Packet Scheduler and click on it.
In the right column, locate Limit reservable bandwidth and double click it.
In the Limit reservable bandwidth Properties, under Setting, click Enabled and set Bandwidth limit (%) to 0. Then click Apply and Ok.

Restart your system.
